Citation
Transformed our understanding of organ regeneration and stem cell function. Her group discovered that the niche regulates stem cell fate and number, stem cells respond to environmental demands, differentiation drives stem cell self-renewal, and homeostatic correction fights off emergence of disease including cancer in mammalian skin.
